Stanhopea saccata "Libra" CBM/AOS

One of my beautiful stanhopea saccata variety just finished its blooming and its stanhopea saccata "Libra", unusual and iteresting awarded variety.
I've had this plant for a number of years and been waiting to see it's flowers for a while and only this season its decided to flower and to show off it's special blooms.

The flowers of this variety is very small, much smaller than all other saccata's in my collection which is very unusual for this specie and they are very nicely sculptured and colored. The background color is pristine white with many purple dots all over the petalswith very bright yellow middle and the scent is very strong cinnamon with another layer of sweet herbal mixture, very plesant and "fresh".

This is another beautiful flamboyant looking stanhopea and I am delighted seeing it flowering this season.

  1. That is a rewarding form of Stanhopea saccata. It is good to know that you have great patience enticing your orchids to bloom. Great job!
